Nikara and Catcat

Once there lived a little girl named Nikara. She had a cat. It's name was Catcat. The cat was very wise who always guided Nikara. Nikara and Catcat had a beautiful strawberry plant full of delicious strawberries.They used to eat those strawberries together whenever they wished to.

One day little Nikara plucked all leaves of that strawberry while she was playing, thought it was fun game. When she was doing so the cat observed it did not say anything to her and remained quiet

After few days Nikara wished to eat some strawberries.She went to the strawberry plant but Alas! that was empty and dry! She became very upset and asked Catcat what had happened to the tree.

Catcat smiled and explained, "Without food we can not grow up. We will become sick and unhealthy. Same as us, trees can not grow up without food, they will become sick, unhealthy and dry off. I think your strawberry plant needs food."

Nikara became astonished and asked Catcat, "I have never seen a tree cooking and eating food. They do not have hands like us! "
Catcat replied, "Of course trees do cook and eat. In fact they have hands like us. Leaves are the hands of trees that cook for them in an invisible way, with the help of sunlight, water and air. If a plant has no leaf, it will never be able to cook any food for itself. Thus it will  stop growing, become sick, unhealthy and dry off."

Then Catcat asked Nikara, "Now tell me can you see any leaves in your strawberry plant?". Nikara said," No, I can not, because i plucked all leaves of our strawberry plant few days ago and now my tree is dying!" She became very upset and started crying.

Catcat gave her a warm hug and said, "Do not cry Nikara..Lets water the plant so that it can grow new leaves and make its food."

After that they kept watering the plant..Soon new leaves started to grow and the plant became full of delicious strawberries.
